Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)
The Ministry of Education (MoE) through MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC) launched the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) program in collaboration with AICTE for Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) in 2018 to systematically foster the culture of innovation and start-up ecosystem in Higher education institutions.
RNSIT-IIC is committed to bring in the culture of innovation and start-up by engaging a large number of faculty and students in various related activities.
Vision
Build an ecosystem to promote Innovation, product development and entrepreneurship.
Mission
- To conduct workshops and symposiums related to idea generation, Problem-solving, Proof of Concept development, Design Thinking, IPR, project handling and management.
- To conduct conferences, hackathons, project open house and coding competitions in association with industry and technical organizations.
- To conduct seminars on advanced topics, modern technologies and business ideas involving eminent speakers from industry and academia.

Conducted Activities
Talk on Quality, productivity and creativity for higher prosperity. (15-11-2022)
Quality is the key to success. Month of November is celebrated as Quality Month. The main purpose behind this celebration is to raise the level of quality awareness amongst students and faculty who will make a difference to the system.Mr. Jagadish Prasad, a pioneer in the Quality domain delivered a lecture on the same.
Talk on TRIZ (08-11-2022)
Dr. Dinesh K Anvekar, Chairman of IIC, gave a presentation on the Russian methodology of inventive problem solving called TRIZ. Both students and faculty were greatly benefitted by knowing the philosophy of TRIZ and different other methods for achieving innovation.
Project Open House (23-07-2022)
Every semester project open house is conducted, where 400+ students participate demonstrating their projects. Eminent people from industry/academia are invited to evaluate the projects.
