FDP on MATLAB

The Department of Mathematics, RNS Institute of Technology, in association with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, successfully organized a two-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on *"MATLAB in Action: Bridging Theory and Computation in Mathematics"* on *2nd and 3rd September 2025* at the HiTech Lab, Academic Block I.

The FDP was designed to strengthen the computational skills of mathematics faculty by providing hands-on training in MATLAB and its applications in teaching, research, and engineering mathematics. The programme featured expert sessions on MATLAB fundamentals, basic programming, linear algebra, calculus, ordinary differential equations, numerical methods, and data visualization. Participants also engaged in practical demonstrations and project-based activities, enabling them to bridge mathematical concepts with real-world computational techniques.

Expert Talk on Quantum Game Theory

The Department of Mathematics and Q Club of the Departments of ECE at RNS Institute of Technology organized an expert talk on Introduction to Quantum Game Theory on 21st May 2026 at the Dr. RN Shetty Mini Auditorium. The session began with a welcome address by Mr. Ganesh Y S, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, followed by an insightful lecture from Dr. Hoor Banu, Assistant Professor at PES University, who explained the foundations of classical game theory, its quantum extension, and applications in economics, cryptography, and quantum computing. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 150 students, with lively discussions during the Q&A segment. Coordinated by Dr. Ibrar Jahan M A, Dr. C M Suresha, Dr. Rajini V Honnungar, and Mr. Ganesh Y S, the program concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Nirmala, Assistant Professor of ECE. The talk was a resounding success, fostering interdisciplinary learning and reaffirming RNSIT’s commitment to academic excellence.
