The department has the necessary infrastructure with suitable number of computers, internet and audio-visual facilities. The department has well-equipped spacious laboratories and a Research laboratory. The departmental library has around 40 reference books and text books including journal articles. Physics Research lab is a VTU recognized research centre since 2010.

Sufficient number of class rooms are provided to accommodate first year students. Every class room is well ventilated with a seating capacity of 70. Theory classes are conducted using both black board and LCD projector.

The department has two spacious Physics laboratories with dark room facility to conduct practical classes. The lab is equipped with instruments like AF Oscillators, DC power supply, Laser Diffraction setup, Travelling microscopes, Four probe instruments.

Physics research lab is well maintained with necessary facilities to carry out optical studies. The major instruments in the lab includes USB-400 Spectrofluorometer, Centrifuge, Auto clave, Muffle furnace and Hot Air Oven.
