This report presents a brief summary of International Conference on Research in Business Management and Information Technology ICRBIT-2015 held during 29th and 30th of April 2015 organized by Dept. of MCA and MBA.
ICRBIT-2015 has provided a forum for researchers, academicians and student delegates to disseminate innovative ideas in Business management and Information Technology.
Many distinguished researchers, academicians, entrepreneurs were involved in making this conference lively and purposeful. The members of the Technical committee have done an excellent job in reviewing the papers received for favour of presentation. All accepted papers have been published in the conference proceedings by ELK Asia pacific Journal with ISBN, with various indexing. Also Selected papers will be published in International Journal of Business Management & Research and International Journal of Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology Research with high impact factor.
The International Conference – ICRBIT 2015 was inaugurated by an eminent personality Dr K Chidananda Gowda, Former Vice chancellor Kuvempu University, Shimoga.
In his address he narrated that Information Technology is vital for any business organization to be successful in the competitive world. On the other face of the coin, Business Management is an integral part of information technology. It provides the knowledge and analytical skills to manage the information and communication technologies that underpin all successful business practices. He emphasized all the students and researchers to plan for the future technological change, the world will be witnessing in next 10 years. He narrated a short story as to how the Hell can become Heaven with technology and Managerial amalgamation.
Dr H N Shivashankar presided over the function, in his address mentioned few common factors between Bus Mag. and IT and also the purpose of the conference.

The keynote address was delivered by Ms. Nandini Vaidyanathan, Chairman and MD, CARMA Venture Services on the topic “The Entrepreneur - Need of the Hour.
In her talk she motivated all young researchers and students to think in the direction of becoming an Entrepreneur. Most of the participants were enlightened and students were very much inspired. Dr. U Bhojanna prof. & Head, MBA announced the plan of starting an Entrepreneurship incubation center at RNSIT.
There were two plenary talks held parallely, one for Business Management Delegates and another for Information Technology delegates.
The Information Technology stream Plenary talk was delivered by Dr. YVS Lakshmi, Head Marketing, C-DoT Bengaluru on “Intellectual Property Rights in IT”. In her talk, she illustrated the importance of Intellectual Property Rights and its types, She also gave answers for When to go for IPR? Patent rules of IT in India, Validity of patent / Copyright / trademark design.
In the other parallel session by Dr. Hari Krishna Maram, Governing Council Member, AIMA, spoke on “India a land of Economic Opportunities”.
In his talk he highlighted the fact that the growth rate in Indian economy will create opportunities in all corners by rendering 5 trillion GDP in next five years being second to USA. He also emphasized that almost 40 Indians are heading in fortune 500 companies which is an indication of the abilities of the Indian population.
Then Followed by 6 parallel technical sessions where 62 Papers were presented. Distinguished personalities from industry and academia chaired the sessions.
We started the day-2 with the 6 parallel technical sessions in IT stream where in 40 papers were presented, and in Management stream 106 of papers were presented
Some of the chairs of technical sessions, expressed that applying Mathematics and Graph Theory applications in research can bring a phenominal effect on quality research and it can be an essential tool for business analytics and IT research. And opinioned that the research should focus on socio-technical problems and trends.
We also had Plenary Talk by Padmabhushan Dr. B. M Hegde, Former Vice Chancellor, Manipal University on “IT Syndrome: A new Disease”,
in his talk he brought out the relation and difference between character and reputation. He advised the younger generation not to prioritize money against health. Gave a lot of input related to life changing insights of techno-managerial problems.
The panel discussion was on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship”, chaired by Mr. Sudendra Koushik, Vice President of Innovation, TTK prestige, and by galaxy of industry and academicians
